Musical tour guides in Argentina and Latin America Here I offer my assistance to organize and participate as travel adviser at your musical tours in Latin America generally and to Argentina in particular (including the next World Choir Symposium, which takes place in Argentina in 2011 www.ifcm.net). I have organized and participated in many choirs and orchestra tours in Argentina with my standard ensembles. Most recently with the Århus Girls Choir in 2008 http://www.aarhuspigekor.dk219-argentina.htm. For references, please contact the conductor Helle Høyer Mogensen. I know the language, codes and attitudes (both the Danish and Latin American) and have musical and practical expertise. This clearly is invaluable when agreeing details such as concert venues, contacts and small relevant practical needs for both singers, musicians and conductors, which are crucial aspects for the success of the trip. This is especially critical in Latin America, where things do not work according to Scandinavian design. Added to all this are my personal characteristics, enthusiasm and good humor that play a crucial role. I consider myself as someone that can communicate and assist in a dynamic and vibrant way. My experience as a teacher, conductor and tour guide in both Denmark and abroad are important in this context. I know I can help breathe life into the participant's approach to culture, music and social interaction during the trip. |
